Guys, the first email you read on this show was really way too long. I suggest limiting the length of the emails. I ended up fast forwarding through the reading of the email.

You do know that it is against licensing to use an OEM license on a different PC.
OEM licenses are not transferable to other PC's.

Hi guys ,your doin a great show there, I was listening to Door 2 door geek & he mentions kasperskys AVP tool , & he says its a memory hog.I noticed while running it that it was upto 190,000 kbytes in the memory on full screen but when i minimized it , it shrank down to a mere 29,000 kbytes; actually it would be good to remind folk that in you minimize most programs they will take up a lot less memory.
Also not sure if you've mentioned it on some of your other shows but Strokeit the mouse gestures program is a real time saver. Thanks also for recommending Godaddy , been using them now purely on your say so & they are as good for customer service as you say,All the best with your future projects.

Hi Carey and Mike,
Great to have you back! I have been running windows 7 for quite some time and all I have to say is that it's a must have for those fed up with Vista and I also downloaded office 2010 and I am in the process of drive testing it. Thanks for another great show and this goes to Carey, this last week I had to get rid of two clients that wont do a retain contract but keep calling like if they own you.

Hi Carey and Mike, hosting my domain email at gmail has been the greatest thing ever, at first it was not sending or receiving but that was because I didn't update mx records as google suggested but after I did it it was working like a champ, I guess I saved at least $30 a year which is what godaddy charges for ten email accounts.

My favorite character on your weekly show is Carey Holzman.

I think it's because he and I share similar views that the majority of people around us act like sheep in a flock.
I like to think that it's because he and I are critical thinkers; something that seems to be lacking in many people.
The void in critical thinking is what makes marketing campaigns successful; notably Windows 7 and the Mac/Anti-PC ads.

However, I suspect that Carey, like I do, sometimes pushes the envelope a bit too much and we forget that it takes all kinds to make a world and we need to be a little more understanding of those less highly-evolved as we are.
:)

I've found that PC-Mover has an infrequent habit of moving data that is unwanted. If you use PC-Mover on more than one computer there is also risk of data contamination (i.e. someones elses data on a completely different customers PC) Due to this behavior I'd only recommend it for home systems for personal use. Besides, Technicians should know only a clean install of software will result in fully operational software.

Regarding the listener who wanted to purchase a laptop for $700 to run both Windows and Leopard (OS X), you mentioned that the cheapest Mac laptop he could buy would be at least $1100. Your listener can get a MacBook for a lot less.

Go to the Apple website at http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac?mco=Nzc1MjQzMw and check out their refurbished section. A refurb MacBook costs just $900. It ships with Snow Leopard and he can run Windows via Bootcamp. They're covered by the same 1-yr warranty as the new stuff, and my experience has been that they tend to be more reliable than the new units.

Don't believe me? Check out this article from a heavy Mac user (and super designer) Cameron Moll: http://cameronmoll.com/archives/2009/09/upgrading_refurbished_macbook_pro/

Good luck!
