    Hello Folks
I have recently found your podcast after watching one of Carey’s videos (which are great by the way). I was wondering, what other technologies do you combine with Skype in order to record your podcasts? Are you using a paid version of Skype?

I compared a Dell OptiPlex 7010 in price compared to a build from Newegg in price. I matched component to component. I know I can’t match the case or motherboard so I used a budget Antec case (Carey knows the one) and a Gigabyte GA-H61M motherboard because it was the cheapest from the dependable brands with USB 3.0 support. I also used an Antec 350 power supply which is better than Dell’s. Everything else was identical parts and both systems include the cost of Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

    Dell OptiPlex 7010 – $569.00 (without shipping)

Newegg Build – $522.00 (includes shipping price to me to build)

  3. In response to Sean and the laptops needing remote access to a SQL database, why not use a VPN Firewall Appliance with either 4G capable laptops or laptops with 4G USB Modems? With the VPN wireless laptops they can access the network without need to connect to a PC or multiple PC’s in the office via remote desktop or remote control software. They can also purchase the VPN client licenses as needed and simultaneous connections are not a problem.
