Mike before you Nuke your system
why don’t you try Puppy linux booting
from a usb flash drive? I have and old 512meg 80g ide
1.8Mhz Pentium 4. it takes about 40 sec from Bios finish to boot
and connect to the internet and puppy supports audacity,
firewire and just about everthing hardware and their apps are all free.carry your podcast on a usbstick!

Hi Mike & Carey,
Love the show and listen every week! This may be out of the scope of the show, but as a webmaster, I’d be interested in knowing your thoughts on SPF and DKIM as a means of ensuring email delivery and protecting against spammers spoofing your address, particularly how to go about setting these up as my hosting company is not willing to do this, but leaves it up to their customers to fiddle with the DNS TXT records themselves.
Mike, I started a little after you as my first computer was a Commodore 64 in 1985 – but I’ve been hooked ever since!
Thanks.
Andrew (Ireland)
