Hey guys. Thanks for doing a wonderful podcast. Knowledge is useless if not shared and you guys are doing a great job of that.

    1. I don’t mind your show being sponsored. So far, you have shown great ethical standards, yes, even Cary’s ranting episode about being paid your proper dues (I agree). And I’d hate to be on his bad side. LOL

2 I’m posting a link to an article about this guy who broke into his clients offices, stole their hard drives.. and when they called him for tech support, he told them he could not only fix the hard drive but restore all the data and charged them an arm and a leg for it. Nice scam, until the owner put few clues together. Also his car verified to be in the parking lot during non-business hours.

That brings me to my second topic that I feel may be appropriate for the show to discuss. As tech suppport heros we are given a great deal of trust and even sometimes respect. Can you guys discuss what clients can do, on their end, to ensure that this type of abuse
(wether it’s remotely or personally) can not be done to them. I think all techs should give their clients the proper knowledge and education to be aware of what is going on. I realize in many cases, if there were THAT diligent or cared THAT much, the problem wouldn’t exists but just for the rest of us.

I really enjoy your podcast while commuting on the 405parking lot in Los Angeles.. Yes the weather is wonderful but by the time you get to your destination … you might as well re-format it.

Thanks guys.. Keep up the great work!!

Hey, thanks for the videos. I remember seeing Mike’s back when he first published it. These tools are simple but can be lifesavers! I would suggest everyone have such a tool. There’s nothing worse than having a hard drive and no way to access the data on it.

    Hey Guys,

Great Videos. Carey can you post the make and model of the devices you used? I know you mentioned the name but I’d like to see the spelling on the make/model. Mike I was able to stop the video to get the spelling from the New Egg site.

Thanks again to both of you,

    Paul in Keller

I enjoyed the vids Carey, BUT (you knew I would have a BUT didn’t you..grin)..would you please turn the background music down a bit? The lloud volume at times is louder than your narrative, and the constant looping of the music grates on the nerves after a while. The content is helpful for review, but the music needs some minor adjustment. Thank you.
