To the gentleman with the pc shutting down while playing games. I have experienced similiar symptons while playing COD4, things I tried to no avail — replaced power supply – Video card but still showed similiar symptons. After I replaced the RAM things ran fine.
I did run memtest on the original ram and it passed the tests, but still experienced shutdowns of winxp while playing cod4, as a last resort I swapped out the ram and things are running fine ever since.
